JOB DESCRIPTION: Residential Care Core responsibilities
  • Personal care: Assisting residents with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
  • Household duties: Performing light housekeeping, laundry, and helping with meal preparation and shopping.
  • Emotional and social support: Providing companionship, emotional support, and acting as a positive role model to help residents build confidence and achieve their goals.
  • Promoting independence: Encouraging residents to develop life skills and make their own choices to foster independence.
  • Health and safety: Monitoring residents' health and safety, administering medication as needed, and following all relevant procedures and policies.

  • Resident care: Oversee the provision of personal and residential care services, develop and implement individual care plans, and ensure residents' safety, well-being, and dignity.
  • Staff management: Recruit, hire, train, and schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage and a supportive work environment. Provide leadership and mentorship.
  • Financial management: Manage the facility's budget, oversee expenditures, and handle administrative tasks like billing and record-keeping.
  • Operations and compliance: Develop and implement policies and procedures. Ensure the facility meets all federal, state, and local regulations, including health and safety standards.
  • Liaison and communication: Act as a liaison between the facility, residents, and their families. Coordinate with external healthcare professionals and other support providers.

Old age home Supervisor Core responsibilities
  • Staff management: Supervise and guide care staff, including training, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Daily operations: Ensure the smooth running of the home, including managing daily activities, overseeing food preparation and kitchen hygiene, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Resident care: Oversee the implementation of care plans, ensuring the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents are met. This includes monitoring residents' health and well- being and handling emergencies.
  • Administration and compliance: Manage budgets, oversee expenditures, maintain accurate records, and ensure the facility is compliant with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between residents, their families, and staff. This includes maintaining regular communication, addressing concerns, and providing support to families.
  • Community relations: Build and maintain relationships with external social services, organizations, and community groups to ensure comprehensive support for residents.
Key skills and attributes
  • Experience in a supervisory or managerial role, ideally in a caregiving or healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for managing staff and interacting with residents and their families.
